Caruso This was a great weekend throughout college and the even the pros for some former Bulldogs. It is really thrilling to see some of our boys making an impact at the next level and beyond. So here is a quick summary of the past few weeks and what some of the BUlldogs are up to:

Greg Costa had an assist in the winning effort for Northeastern against UNH on Friday. For Costa this had to be rewarding as in the previous meeting against UNH Costa scored the tying goal with 5 minutes to go in the third but the Huskies couldn't hold on. Costa carried his momentum into Saturday night's meeting with UMass Lowell where he scored a hat trick in the 4-3 victory.

Dan Rautenberg and Jon Rutt got off to great starts for the University of Southen Maine. Dan had 3 goals and 2 assists and Jon had 5 assists in weekend where Southern Maine beat St. Michael's 5-0 but dropped the next night's game with Norwich 4-2. Rutt plays left wing and Rautenberg plays right wing on the Southern Maine's top line.

Mike Owens scored his first college goal for UMass Dartmouth at Plymouth State and had an assist on the game winning goal. In less happy news, Jay Anctil, after being chosen Most Improved Player the University of Vermont at the end of his Freshman year has been living under a black cloud. After jumping out to a quick scoring lead with 2 goals and 2 assists in his first 4 games, Jay suffered a serious hip injury kept him out for most of season. He returned to action February only to separate his shoulder and miss the remainder of season. This year coming out of Training Camp he re-injured his shoulder and then this week suffered a fracture in his right foot after getting hit with a shot on his instep in practice.

Dave Caruso, our local pro stopped a season high 43 shots to lead the Lowell devils to a 4-1 vistory over the Norfolk Admirals in AHL action this past Saturday night.

Finally local brainiac Steve Rolecek had an assist on Harvard's game winning goal this past week against the visiting Clarkson.
