The Bulldogs had a tough game vs. Walpole Express after a very good start in period one, in which the Bulldogs controlled play for the first 5 minutes all in the Express zone. There was a lot of neutral zone play in the first, but the Bulldogs broke threw on a goal by Chris Lewis, assisted by Matt Tucceri and Steve Buco. Once again the penalty kill was superb as Mike Dinardo, Steven Braun, Sean Jenkins and Matt Tucceri killed off the first half of the penalty. Killing off the reminder of the power play was Eric Williams,Matt Lawrence,Nick Kolb and Andrew Bucci. The score after one period was Bulldogs 1 -Express 0. Period two was not as successful as the Bulldogs gave up 4 goals, 2 power play goals, and 2 even strength goals. Steve Buco scored the lone goal in period 2 as he was set up an a pretty pass from Chris Lewis. End of two - Express 4 -Bulldogs 2. Period three saw the Express press all period eventually scoring the lone goal of the period. Once again the penalty killing was right on as Chris Lewis, Matt Tucceri, Mike Dinardo and Steven Braun killed off the power play of the Express. Rich Meyer, Sean Jenkins, Jesse Krauss, and Kevin Holmes added additional support on the penalty kill. The final score Express 5- Bulldogs 2. Goal tending :Raimonds Ermics stopped 28 of 33 shots and played 50 minutes Sam Calahan played 10 minutes and did not face any shots.
