Unavail Cam Smith had a huge night against the very talented Cranston Reds from Rhode Island. Smith scored the game tying goal, and then the winner on a brilliant goal in overtime. Smith took the Reds defenseman wide, drove to the net and slid the puck underneath the goalie for the win. Rookie coach Steve Plancey said “We worked very hard, and I am so proud of our young guys. We still have a lot to learn and look forward to getting better and competing every day.” The other goal was scored by 6’2 Defenseman Jeremy Isbell on a rocket. Assists were handed out to Greg Stoya, Erik Rosengren, and Pat Dwyer. Nick Dube was outstanding making 30 saves, and was named Goaltender of the Week for the Metropolitan League.
